Payments are processed by our payment provider Stripe. A milestone amount is collected on the DiasporaBuild account, then transferred to the professional after the inspector's report and your confirmation. DiasporaBuild is not a financial institution and does not provide a regulated escrow account.

On DiasporaBuild, payment is tied to the project milestones. The contractor only receives payment after each milestone is validated.
Your money is protected. The contractor is motivated to deliver because payment is conditional on inspection.

Anti-Fraud & Falsification Clause
Every professional partner formally commits to never:
- Falsify reports, photos or documents
- Artificially inflate costs
- Present a third party's work as their own
- Soliciting off-platform payments
Sanction: Immediate termination, payment freeze, reporting to authorities, permanent ban and legal proceedings.
Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
Each professional partner contractually commits to maintaining active PLI insurance covering their activities on the platform. A confirmed lack of insurance can lead to account suspension. This contractual requirement is there to protect clients in case of damage related to the work.
The client approves each payment after receiving the inspection report. The inspector recommends, but only the client decides.
Timestamped photos/videos, certified inspection reports, platform messages, and signed delivery documents are accepted.
An independent inspector, certified by DiasporaBuild, visits the site at each key milestone. They produce a detailed report with photos and recommendations.
The mediation team takes over the case as soon as it is opened. Resolution time depends on the complexity of the case and the evidence provided by both parties.
No. Payments are managed via Stripe. DiasporaBuild orchestrates the process (milestones, validation, release) but never directly handles your funds.
Bypassing is detected and progressively sanctioned: warning, 7-day suspension, then permanent ban with earnings freeze.
Inspectors are validated separately from contractors and receive no payment from them: they are paid by the platform. Assignment is made by DiasporaBuild, not by the contractor.
Yes. You can open a dispute within 7 days of receiving the report. A new inspection can be requested.
